Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to WCAG 2.2 AA and making Thasmai accessible to everyone. Last updated: 1 May 2026
Our commitment
Thasmai Trust is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.
Current status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Known areas of non-conformance and our remediation timeline:
- Video content (embedded YouTube): captions are provided by YouTube but quality is not verified. We will review all videos by Q3 2026.
- Some older PDF documents may not be fully tagged. We will remediate PDFs added from Q2 2026 onwards and work through the archive progressively.
- Complex interactive islands (meditation class booking, donation flow) are undergoing manual screen-reader testing. Fixes are tracked in our internal issue tracker.
What we have done
- All page content uses semantic HTML heading hierarchy.
- Colour contrast ratios meet the 4.5:1 minimum for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
- All interactive elements are keyboard-navigable and have visible focus indicators.
- Touch targets are a minimum of 44×44 pixels.
- All images have meaningful alt text or are marked decorative.
- The site respects
prefers-reduced-motion: animations are disabled for users who prefer reduced motion. - Form labels are programmatically associated with their controls.
- Skip-to-content link is available on every page.
